When Davy @ DRIVEN Automotive Media organised the Performance German Day, he asked if we were interested, who says no to a well organised trackday on a sunny weekend?

We decided to take almost all the crew down, as well as as many cars we could physically get there and have a good time!

We have made a little montage of the days exploits. With only 12 cars at a time allowed on track, there were few battles to be had, but we still had a great time pushing the cars to (and beyond) the limit.

We obviously have a lot of projects, so it is hard to decide which to take to events like this, as we can't drive them all! Since the Ibiza Race Car is busy most weekends, we gave that a rest and brought the A5 and CitiGo for their first outing since the Nurburgring Trip:

As well as the 2 cars above, we decided to bring a car that has not had much attention for a long time. We have had the Ibiza for over 5 years and 50,000 miles, in that time it has gone from the stock 143bhp, to 183bhp with a map, 200bhp with our Turbo Upgrade, 250.3bhp with a GTB2260VK Kit, CP3 Pump and other supporting mods, to the 278bhp it is now. To say its a road car, on road tyres and brakes, it was very impressive!

Stef at SRS Automotive also brought his 2.0 DSG 4-Motion Caddy (still only ~240bhp as we haven't built his engine yet!) and his trusty Mk2 Golf Track Car with a PD130 and 6 Speed 02M Gearbox.

We had 2 choices for the journey back on Saturday Evening, the not very scenic M5, or a drive through the Cotswolds, with a stop off at Caffeine and Machine.

Set in twelve acres just outside the city of Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, it is a Mecca for car and bike enthusiasts! Every day you can guarantee that there will be some cool and interesting projects for you to check out. Food is served Monday to Saturday until 9 p.m. and Sunday until 5 p.m. as well, so its a great place to break up a long journey through the Cotswolds!
