VW Amarok Suspension Guide
The ultimate guide to lifting or lowering your VW Amarok!
Whether it's for practicality or just for looks this guide covers all our options for lifting and lowering your VW Amarok...
Lifting
From factory the rear of the Amarok sits higher than the front, so the first step to lifting is to raise the front to match. Some people install lift springs to the stock struts which is not ideal as this maxes the travel of the damper resulting in a crashy ride.
If you have already gone down this route we offer the Bilstein B6 Front Lift dampers. These are the same dampers used in our full kit but can also be used in conjunction with other aftermarket lift springs if OE dampers are topping out.
If you have already purchased the front lift kit or carry a lot of weight in the rear we offer the Bilstein uprated rear dampers.
If you are starting from stock, we offer the full Bilstein B6 Front Lift kit +20-50mm including Rear Dampers. This kit combines all the Bilstein lift suspension components we have available. This will achieve up to 50mm lift on the front matching up to the stock rear height. Ideal for off road or achieving an aggressive look whilst maintaining perfect ride quality.
Lowering
If lifting is not your thing, we also offer a full lowering kit turning your Amarok into a Slamarok!
Compromising of suspension components and bushes from the leading manufacturers Bilstein and Superpro this kit has been developed with no expense spared.
Bilstein B14 height adjustable front Coilovers, Bilstein front lowering springs and Bilstein rear dampers ensure the ride quality is second to none.
The rear leaf springs are manufactured in the UK to our specification. These have been designed to offer similar ride to originals with the scope to remove the helper spring if your truck does not need load carrying capacity.
Additional care has been taken when specifying the spring bushes, packers and rubber bump stops. This ensures the rear end remains firm with no unwanted knocks or bangs.
OE bump stops will need cutting down if you want to achieve maximum lowering potential, Some owners are even chassis notching to achieve full potential.
For some people, the above lowering kit will be a little excessive. For those looking to lower on a budget, we offer our own 50mm lowering springs, custom made in Sheffield to go along side our rear leaf spring shackle adjusters.
Once fitted this will lower the vehicle around 50mm all round. The rear can be lowered a further ~10-15mm by removing the helper spring from the leaf spring pack (we only recommend this if you do not carry much weight).
