Vehicle-specific suspension and chassis bushes for VAG, BMW / Mini and Porsche
Created under one roof in the UK, from design and development to rigorous testing
Powerflex polyurethane bushes are manufactured to be more for chassis and suspension components, increasing longevity and improving handling performance. They replace factory rubber bushes, which can wear more quickly over time, leading to unwanted movement where you need control.
By using polyurethane, Powerflex has more control over how each unique bush behaves. The compound used is always matched to the job, from supporting a wishbone to controlling drivetrain movement. Polyurethane offers longer-lasting support and increased handling, but can also slightly increase NVH when driving as it offers less flexibility to combat the bush softening or splitting. The car can feel tighter and more controlled as a result, although stiffer applications may pass a little more noise and vibration into the cabin.
Every bush is designed and manufactured at Powerflex’s UK facility. New parts are fitted and tested on vehicles and purpose-built rigs, checking that they fit correctly and behave as intended.
Powerflex operates to ISO 9001 manufacturing standards and has received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. More importantly, its bushes have become a common choice for road, track and motorsport builds because they are developed for the specific part of the car rather than treated as a one-compound-fits-all solution.

Start by finding where the unwanted movement is coming from to discover the right bush you need. A worn wishbone might just need a targeted replacement, but an older car with multiple points of movement might need a larger scale overhaul.

Why Choose Darkside Developments To Shop Powerflex?
“Bushes are one of those parts you do not always notice until they are worn out. Once the standard rubber starts to go soft, the steering can feel vague, and the car moves around more. Powerflex is a straightforward way of sorting that. Their bushes are made for specific positions on the car, so we can replace a tired factory bush or tighten up a particular part of the chassis without making the whole car unnecessarily harsh.
On a road car, they can make it feel sharper and more predictable again. On a tuned or harder-driven VAG car, they help keep everything more stable when the car is being pushed.
We use Powerflex because it is a proper, proven upgrade. It lasts, and it makes a difference you can actually feel.”

Powerflex FAQs
What are the benefits of Powerflex bushes?
The main benefit is better control over unwanted movement. This can sharpen the steering and help the car hold its alignment under load.
Powerflex bushes help keep everything where it should be. This can sharpen the steering response, make the car feel more stable and predictable, and help the suspension work more consistently under load. They are also more durable than standard rubber bushes, making them a good option for daily-driven, tuned and harder-used cars.
Is PowerFlex a good brand?
Powerflex has specialised in polyurethane bushes since 1996, with product development and manufacturing all handled at its UK factory. Its Road Series is designed for road and fast-road cars, while the harder Black Series is intended for track and competition use.
Is it worth replacing suspension bushings?
Yes, when wear has started impacting the way your car drives and handles. Replacing a failed bush can remove unwanted movement and bring back the steering response that has gradually disappeared as the rubber has aged.
