Race Mechanic

The Race Car Technician will maintain the fleet of Darkside Developments Race and Track Cars. Liaising with the Workshop Service Manager to ensure all vehicles are prepared to the highest standard in time for each race meeting / event. To do this you will also work closely with Tuning, Fabrication, Parts and Dispatch departments to ensure fluidity towards achieving our goal of successive victories. Role Benefits

Salary (Depending on Experience) ~£34,000 - £40,000 inc Bonus Scheme Target Hours - 42.5 hours *Weekend work and late nights may be required to meet unmovable deadlines Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, service and support our Diesel Race Cars
  • Ensure both cars are built to the same standards and specifications according to existing documentation
  • Working to tight timelines to ensure vehicles are ready for each race / event
  • Keep accurate records for the operation of the race car including parts fitted and replaced during events
  • Attend and support all race and test events
  • Pre and Post race truck and equipment organisation
  • Fulfil any other responsibilities that are related to the job
  • Liaise with other departments

Skills and Abilities

  • Motorsport engineering / experience working in race teams ideal

Workshop Mechanic

The Workshop Technician will maintain the daily functionality of the Darkside Developments Service Workshop. Liaising with the Workshop Controller to ensure daily workflows and targets are achieved. To do this you will also work closely with Fabrication and Parts and Dispatch departments to ensure fluidity towards achieving our goal of exceptional customer service.

Role Benefits

Duties and Responsibilities

  • All levels of interval services to VAG and BMW vehicles
  • All levels of MOT work, including but not limited to: Brake disc and pads, clutches and flywheels, turbos and intercoolers, exhausts, suspension springs and dampers, wheel bearings and drivetrain supports and bushes.
  • Fitment of non OE parts including Darkside Development parts / kits
  • Working with OEM specifications software and upgraded hardware to working with full stand alone units and custom hardware.
  • Liaise with other departments such as tuners and product development team.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Social Media Content Creator to join our team. You'll be responsible for designing, filming, and editing content across our social media channels like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This role is perfect for someone passionate about cars and digital content creation.

Role Specifics

Salary (Depending on Experience) ~£32,000 - £38,000 inc Bonus Scheme Target Hours - 42.5 hours Company equipment provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and create engaging video and photo content.
  • Edit content for different social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the team to generate ideas and incorporate audience feedback.

Turbo Technician

Job Purpose

The Turbo Technician will be responsible for;

  • Strip and assess turbochargers of various sizes / Turbo diagnostics
  • Complete reports on the condition of turbochargers·
  • Fully process and clean components
  • Carry out basic machining to parts (additional training will be given)
  • Turbo Repair and rebuild
  • Flow Testing - G3-Min-Flow (Power)
  • Balancing - CIMAT VSR Twin
  • Stock control
  • Implementing build processes for new and existing hybrid turbos.
  • Sourcing components from new and existing suppliers
  • Managing own workflow
  • Quality Control
  • Lean manufacturing

Progression within the role is possible, dedication and expansion, can lead to further members of staff joining the team and progression to a managerial role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check Daily Task List - Ensure task list’s are checked daily and regular to maintain direction and consistency whilst minimising priority errors and maximising productivity. Ensure all completed jobs are ticked off and cleared regularly and daily once complete.
  • Wide range of duties include - Research and Development work turbochargers for company owned development vehicles. Track Car and Drag Car.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Service Manager - For priority on any workshop jobs requiring turbocharger builds or repairs.
  • Liaise with the Fabrication Unit and Lead Fabricator - To schedule and compressore housing welding or fabrication required.
  • Liaise with the Lead Powertrain Calibration and Development Engineer - To work with the Powertrain Calibration and Development Engineer when testing any new turbocharger hybrids. Fitting any form of performance enhancing hardware that will require a software upgrade to operate to their full potential. All levels of hardware upgrades need to be disclosed, feedback to the Powertrain Calibration and Development Engineer and support given if any form of insight can be shared to produce the best possible outcome for the customer. To develop itinerary and products. Feedback on current software packages with the aim to develop new lines currently being tested.
  • Liaise with the Dispatch manager - To ensure order fulfilment is met on a daily basis and stock levels are maintained. This will require the input of components to the stock system and implementation of build processes. Understanding of Linnworks order management and our in house CRM system will be essential, training provided.

Dispatch Operative

The Dispatch Operative will maintain the daily functionality of the Darkside Developments Parts and Dispatch Department. Liaising with the Dispatch Manager to ensure daily workflows and targets are achieved. To do this you will also work closely with Fabrication and Service Workshop departments to ensure fluidity towards achieving our goal of exceptional customer service.

Role Benefits

  • Salary £24,000 - £27,000 (Depending on Experience) / Apprentice £14,000 - £16,000

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check the daily task list.
  • Pick and pack small and large orders
  • Dispatching completed orders
  • Non-dispatched uncompleted orders.
  • Goods in management
  • Replenish empty shelves, using stored items
  • Pick and supply items for Fabrication/Service Workshops.
  • Check general upkeep and organisation of the parts department.
  • Couriers and Deliveries - Royal Mail and DHL.
  • General Maintenance.
