This is the wiring harness for the Gear Sensor Module Switch on the 0B5 DL501 Automatic Gearboxes

We spent many hours diagnosing an issue on an Audi Q5, changing the mechatronic unit down to the oil and filter. We evenually found this to be the fix for the issue.

Please see below some Fault Codes that may be displayed when this part becomes Faulty:

P179E - Selector Lever Sensor: Electrical Malfunction
P179F - Selector Lever Sensor: Malfunction
People have reported that when this sensor becomes faulty, you are unable to select any gears whatsoever
