This kit consists of:
Darkside CNC Machined G60 228mm Single Mass Flywheel
Genuine SACHS VR6 Clutch Disc
Genuine SACHS VR6 Pressure Plate
Genuine SACHS Release Bearing
Genuine VW Flywheel and Pressure Plate Bolts
These are a popular conversion on the VW Golf Mk4 Platform with 1.8T and 1.9 TDI Engines to remove the OEM Dual Mass Flywheel, when either running increased power or the DMF fails
The kits have been used on vehicles with 300Ft/Lbs+ (410Nm) with no issues. We have one in our Mk2 Caddy TDi Van which has 318Ft/Lbs (430Nm) and it works perfectly

We also have the option of the standard 10kg flywheel or the lightened 7kg Flywheel
We recommend the 10kg flywheel for road car applications as this is a similar weight to the dual mass flywheel so driving characteristics remain unchanged.
The 7kg flywheel is more suited to race and fast road petrol applications as where faster reving and more engine braking is required.
This kit will NOT fit vehicles with a 6 Speed Transmission. Please see our other items or contact us if you require a 6 Speed Clutch and Flywheel

PLEASE NOTE - As with most of the Single Mass Flywheel Kits Available, there will be some noise at low RPMs and at idle. This is completely normal and will not damage your gearbox or engine
In some cases the dust tin may need slight modification with the 10kg flywheel
Billet flywheels usually last the life time of three clutch kits before needing re-skimming.
