The stock V10 TDI thermostat opens around 105 degrees which leaves little to no room for the cooling system to kick in before the vehicle starts overheating.

We would recommend replacing the thermostat on your V10 TDI Engine when the old part has failed and become stuck.

With this Thermostat upgrade, it will now open up at around 89 degrees allowing much more room for the cooling system to work as it should keeping those temps down.
